Rep. Ami Bera Appointed to DCCC Leadership Team for the 2026 Cycle

February 28, 2025

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA – Yesterday, Rep. Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-06) was appointed as a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) Frontline Co-Chair for the 2026 cycle.

In this role, Rep. Bera will play a key role in helping the most vulnerable House Democrats defend their seats while ensuring candidates have the resources, strategy, and infrastructure needed to win. As a former Frontliner and seasoned campaigner, he understands firsthand what it takes to win tough races. Protecting these key districts will be critical to the Democrats’ path to reclaiming the House majority next year.

“I’m honored to serve as a Frontline Co-Chair for the DCCC and help defend our most competitive seats,” said Rep. Ami Bera. “We can’t take back the House without protecting the Democrats serving in the toughest districts. These Frontliners are leading the fight to lower costs, protect our fundamental freedoms and keep our communities safe. I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure they have the support they need to win reelection, reclaim the House majority in 2026 and put a much-needed check on Donald Trump’s extreme agenda.”

Rep. Bera joins a team of 32 other House Democrats committed to defending vulnerable seats and retaking the House majority in 2026.

“This group of talented members who have agreed to serve in DCCC leadership positions will be on the frontlines of delivering Democrats’ message of lowering costs, keeping our communities safe and protecting individual freedoms,” said DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene. “Less than two months into the Republican governing trifecta, voters are already fed up as Republicans choose chaos and corruption over delivering on campaign promises like lowering costs. Along with our Frontliners and Red to Blue candidates, this group will be instrumental in holding Republicans accountable, and I look forward to working with them to take back the House Majority in 2026.”
